Normally used to replace between one and four teeth at a time, bridges can fill in a gap in smile, helping you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence again. Bridges are held in place via neighbouring teeth which anchor the new prosthetic tooth or teeth in place.
When placing a traditional bridge, we’ll use crowns placed on the two neighbouring teeth, but there are other bridges available that require just one tooth as an anchor, or utilise a metal or porcelain framework (Resin Retained Bridge) instead of a crown. At 23 Dental, we offer a range of different replacement options, and can talk you through all your options – from bridges, to dentures, and implants.
Wherever possible we try to focus on minimal intervention and when a non-invasive way of placing a sticky bridge is possible, we will always offer this treatment option to our patients.
